This maintenance course aligns to the tasks undertaken when we perform a Full Service to customer's bicycles. The course will provide you with advanced capability to become a knowledgeable home mechanic, capable of performing most maintenance tasks on your bicycle. It is aimed at those who have either undertaken our Basic Maintenance course, or who already have a thorough understanding of the basics of bicycle maintenance. The course will teach you how to: - Approach your service methodically to be in control through the maintenance check - Re-cable your gears and brakes - Adjust your gears to a high standard - Re-wire your Di2 groupset (if applicable) - Strip and re-build your headset and bottom bracket - Re-bleed your hydraulic brake systems (if applicable) - Service your wheel hubs - Align your rear derailleur hanger if it is bent (a common problem) - Understand general maintenance problems and how to avoid/resolve - Understand the in's and out's of different lubricants - Walk away with a list of the advanced tooling requirements for your bicycle And of course a lot more... Through general conversation and answering questions, we will be able to provide a lot more knowledge. Tea and coffee will be provided; it's cycling after all... we all love great coffee!
