Service Description

This service includes stripping the hub and rebuilding it with new parts* if required. A hub is one of the most import components on a bicycle, but they are usually forgotten about first when it comes to maintaining them. This is because you can’t “feel” a broken hub in the same way that you can feel if your gears are not working, for example. Hubs are always rotating during a ride and they pick up all of the sock and load from the road, and so the bearings wear out quicker than you think, PARTICULARLY IN WINTER as water and salt flushes out the grease. Regular maintenance of your hubs can help you avoid costly downstream hub replacements, and if left too long, could sometimes lead to the need to replace your whole wheel set. This is a simple and cheap service, yet one of the most important. * Parts are charged separately.
